To provide an impact energy absorption structure for a railway vehicle which realizes reduction of the maximum load and leveling of an average load applied to the truck frame and the body structure of the vehicle, while absorbing an impact energy, when an obstacle collides with the railway vehicle.SOLUTION: An impact energy absorption structure comprises a first base 11 and a second base 12 both extending in a vehicle width direction and plural energy absorption beams 13 arranged along a vehicle width direction between the first base 11 and the second base 12 and extending parallelly with each other in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The plural energy absorption beams comprise a first energy absorption beam 13a and a second energy absorption beam 13b and a sum of a distance from the first base 11 to one end of the first energy absorption beam 13a and a distance from the other end of the first energy absorption beam 13a to the second base 12 is less than a sum of a distance from the first base 11 to one end of the second energy absorption beam 13b and a distance from the other end of the second energy absorption beam 13b to the second base 12. Thus, in collision with an obstacle, the first energy absorption beam 13a begins buckling earlier than the second energy absorption beam 13b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】鉄道車両に障害物が衝突した際に、衝撃エネルギーを吸収しつつ、車体の台枠及び構体への最大荷重の低減及び平均荷重の平準化を実現する。【解決手段】車両幅方向に延びた第1ベース11及び第2ベース12、第1ベース11と第2ベース12との間において、車両幅方向に沿って並べられ且つそれぞれが車両長手方向に平行である複数のエネルギー吸収梁13とを含む。複数のエネルギー吸収梁は、第1エネルギー吸収梁13aと第2エネルギー吸収梁13bとを含んでおり、第1エネルギー吸収梁13aの両端と第1ベース11及び第2ベース12との間の距離の合計が、第2エネルギー吸収梁13bの両端と第1ベース11及び第2ベース12との間の距離の合計より小さい。これによって、障害物の衝突時、第1エネルギー吸収梁13aの方が第2エネルギー吸収梁13bよりも先に座屈を開始する。【選択図】図2
