To secure accuracy and quality of power supply.SOLUTION: A battery controller according to an embodiment comprises a battery for auxiliaries, a connection control unit, a calculation unit, and an equalization control unit. The battery for auxiliaries is composed of a lithium ion rechargeable battery and is provided so as to be connected to/separated from an auxiliary power line of a vehicle. The connection control unit separates the battery from the auxiliary power line when the vehicle is in a predetermined state. When the battery is separated by the connection control unit, the calculation unit calculates the battery's state of charge. When the battery is separated by the connection control unit, the equalization control unit makes equalization of amounts of charge of cells of the battery be executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
