To provide a torque detector, etc., with which interference between magnetostrictive torque sensors hardly occurs and beat hardly occurs in an output signal and thereby reduce a sense of discomfort of a driver.SOLUTION: The torque detector comprises: a plurality of torque detection units 210 having an excitation coil 223 for performing excitation and provided in the radial periphery of a first magnetostrictive film 211 and a second magnetostrictive film 212 formed in the radial direction of a shaft and a first detection coil 221 and a second detection coil 222 for outputting an output signal that corresponds to a change of inductance that changes in accordance with the magnitude of torque added to the shaft; and a torque detection circuit 250 for detecting the magnitude of torque added to the shaft on the basis of the output signal outputted from the torque detection unit 210. The excitation frequency that is a frequency with which the excitation coil 223 of each of the plurality of torque detection units 250 is excited is set to be different from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
