To provide a wireless power transmission system and a wireless power transmission method, capable of shortening a flight interruption time and providing stable power supply even when supplying power to an unmanned aerial vehicle whose route is around artificial objects such as power lines and architectural structures such as buildings, and natural objects such as mountain ranges.SOLUTION: The wireless power transmission system includes: a power receiving unit (aboard an aircraft) 31 installed in an unmanned aerial vehicle A for navigating a preset route; and at least one power transmission unit (ground) 11, installed corresponding to the route of unmanned aerial vehicle A, for transmitting power to the power reception unit (aboard an aircraft) 31 by microwaves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
