To estimate the capacity of a power storage element after a measurement unit has stopped.SOLUTION: Provided is a power storage device 50 comprising external terminals 51, 52, a power storage element 60, a switch 53 located in a current path 55P from the power storage element 60 to the external terminal 51, a measurement unit 150 for measuring the current and voltage of the power storage element 60, and a management unit 130. The measurement unit 150 and the management unit 130 receive electric power supply from the power storage element 60, the lowest operating voltage V1 of the management unit 130 being lower than the lowest operating voltage V2 of the measurement unit 150. When the voltage of the power storage element 60 drops below a threshold voltage V0 higher than or equal to the lowest operating voltage V2 of the measurement unit 150, the management unit 130 blocks an electricity discharge to the outside through the external terminal 52 by control of the switch 53, and estimates the capacity of the power storage element 60 on and after a discretionary time t1 on the basis of an elapsed time from the discretionary time t1 in a first period in which the voltage of the power storage element 60 drops from the threshold voltage V0 down to the lowest operating voltage V2 of the measurement unit 150.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
