To provide a simple lifting device and a lifting method by which a distance between suspended members can be changed in the middle of lifting work.SOLUTION: A lifting device 20 includes a beam member 21 suspended approximately horizontally, two trolleys 22 provided on both end sides of the beam member 21 to travel along the beam member 21, two cylinder devices 23 provided on the beam member 21 to make the two trolleys 22 travel along the beam member 21 by each expanding/contracting operation, and hanging members 33 suspended from each of the two trolleys 22. The two cylinder devices 23 are positioned closer to a center side in a longitudinal direction of the beam member 21 than the two trolleys 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】揚重作業の途中で吊り材間の間隔を変更できる簡易な揚重装置及び揚重方法を提供する。【解決手段】揚重装置20は、略水平に吊り下げられるビーム部材21と、ビーム部材21の両端側に設けられてビーム部材21に沿って走行可能な2つのトロリ22と、ビーム部材21に設けられて、各々の伸縮動作によって2つのトロリ22をビーム部材21に沿って走行させることが可能な2つのシリンダ装置23と、2つのトロリ22の各々に垂下される吊り材33と、を有する。2つのシリンダ装置23が、2つのトロリ22よりもビーム部材21の長手方向中央側に位置する。【選択図】図4
