To suppress, in a configuration including two electric motors for driving respective two left and right wheels and two control circuits for controlling the respective electric motors, the deterioration of running stability upon the occurrence of a failure in either one of the control circuits.SOLUTION: An electric motor control device 10 includes: a target torque indication unit 15 for indicating a target torque to each of a right-side control circuit 21R and a left-side control circuit 21L; and a failure occurrence identification unit 18 for identifying whether there is the occurrence of a failure in the right-side control circuit and the left-side control circuit. If it has been identified that there is the occurrence of the failure in one of the two control circuits, the target torque indication unit indicates a fail-safe torque lower than a normal target torque, as the target torque, to the failure-identified control circuit, and indicates a failure-time target torque lower than the normal target torque and higher than the fail-safe torque to the normal control circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】左右2つの車輪をそれぞれ駆動する2つの電動機と、各電動機を制御する2つの制御回路とを備える構成において、いずれか一方の制御回路に故障が発生した場合の走行安定性の低下を抑制する。【解決手段】電動機制御装置10は、右側制御回路21Rと左側制御回路21Lとにそれぞれ目標トルクを指示する目標トルク指示部15と、右側制御回路および左側制御回路の故障発生の有無を特定する故障発生特定部18と、を備える。目標トルク指示部は、2つの制御回路のうちの一方の故障発生が有ると特定された場合に、故障特定制御回路に対しては、目標トルクとして正常目標トルクよりも低いフェイルセーフ用トルクを指示し、正常制御回路に対しては、正常目標トルクよりも低く、且つ、フェイルセーフ用トルクよりも高い故障時目標トルクを指示する。【選択図】図2
