To provide a rail friction coefficient measurement device and measurement device capable of continuously and stably acquiring a friction coefficient at a head R part of a rail head for a long section.SOLUTION: A rail friction coefficient measurement method and measurement device measures a friction coefficient at a head R part of a rail for a railroad. The present invention includes a friction force detection mechanism to be brought into contact with the head R part to detect friction force, a lifting mechanism for supporting the friction force detection mechanism vertically in a freely slidable manner, and a travel mechanism with the lifting mechanism attached thereto. The friction force detection mechanism includes a contact wheel having a conically trapezoidal shape with a cross section including a rotary shaft as a trapezoid to be supported in a freely rotatable manner, a shaft member constituting the rotary shaft, and a load detector attached to the shaft member, moves the shaft member along the rail while being loaded by the self-weight of the friction force detection function, and calculates a friction coefficient on the basis of a detection value of force continuously detected by the load detector due to driven rotation of the contact wheel and acting in the extension direction of the shaft member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】 レール頭部の頭部R部における摩擦係数を、長区間にわたって連続的かつ安定的に取得することができるレールの摩擦係数測定方法及び測定装置の提供。【解決手段】 鉄道用のレールの頭部R部における摩擦係数を測定するレールの摩擦係数測定方法及び測定装置である。本発明は、頭部R部に接触して摩擦力を検出する摩擦力検出機構と、これを上下方向に摺動自在に支持する昇降機構と、この昇降機構が取り付けられた走行機構と、を備える。摩擦力検出機構は、回転軸を含む断面を台形とする円錐台形状を有し回転自在に支持された接触車輪と、その回転軸を構成する軸部材と、該軸部材に取り付けられた荷重検出器と、を含み、摩擦力検出機構の自重を負荷しつつ上記軸部材をレールに沿って移動させ、接触車輪の従動回転に伴って荷重検出器で連続的に検出される軸部材の伸長方向に作用する力の検出値に基づいて摩擦係数を算出することを特徴とする。【選択図】図3
