To provide a carrier and a carrier system that can change a thrust constant according to a manner of arrangement of a stator on a carrying passage.SOLUTION: A carrier is for moving a first carrying passage on which a position object information reading unit is provided and a plurality of stators are arranged, and a second carrying passage on which a position object information reading unit is provided and a plurality of stators are arranged in a manner different from the first carrying passage. The carrier comprises a movable element for generating thrust utilizing magnetic force generated by the plurality of stators; a position information reading unit for reading position information from the position object information reading unit; and an electric power control device for controlling electric power being supplied to the movable element based on a thrust constant and also controlling the electric power being supplied to the movable element while making a change from a first thrust constant which corresponds to the manner of arrangement of the plurality of stators on the first carrying passage to a second thrust constant which corresponds to the manner of arrangement of the plurality of stators on the second carrying passage based on position information, in response to a movement to the second carrying passage from the first carrying passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
