To confirm which sensor is outputting an abnormal value in the case of an abnormality.SOLUTION: An electric motor controller 100 comprises: a first control unit C1 for controlling the drive of a motor M1 of a first system K1; a second control unit C2 for controlling the drive of a motor M2 of a redundant second system K2; a first and a second sensor for outputting a detection signal to the first and second control units; a third sensor S3 for outputting a detection signal to both of the control units; and an inter-system communication line LN for these two control units to communicate each other. The first control unit determines the presence of first-system sensor abnormality on the basis of the detection signals of the first and third sensors, and the second control unit determines the presence of second-system sensor abnormality on the basis of the detection signals of the second and third sensors. When it is determined by the first control unit that there is first-system sensor abnormality or determined by the second control unit that there is second-system sensor abnormality, the first control unit and/or the second control unit determine which sensor the abnormality exists in, on the basis of information pertaining to the presence of sensor abnormality on the other side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
