To provide a vehicular position estimation system capable of detecting a defect that causes a minute delay as an observation value of a propagation time and reducing a risk of erroneously determining that a defect occurs.SOLUTION: A communication device diagnosis part F6 causes a plurality of UWB communication devices 12 to measure a propagation time as an index value of distance between communication devices by transmitting and receiving an impulse signal to/from other devices in a predetermined order. Then, it determines whether the propagation time is included within a normal range corresponding to a combination in each combination of the UWB communication devices 12. The communication device diagnosis part F6 determines that a defect occurs in a diagnosis object device in the case that a propagation time in all combinations related to the diagnosis object device is a value outside the normal range. On the other hand, it does not determine that a defect does not occur in the diagnosis object device in the case that a propagation time observed at least one of all of the combinations related to the diagnosis object device is within the normal range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】伝搬時間の観測値として微小な遅延を生じさせる不具合を検出可能であって、且つ、不具合が生じていると誤判定する恐れを低減可能な車両用位置推定システムを提供する。【解決手段】通信機診断部F6は複数のUWB通信機12に、所定の順に他機とインパルス信号を送受信させることで、通信機間の距離の指標値として伝搬時間を計測させる。そして、UWB通信機12の組み合わせ毎に、伝搬時間が組み合わせに応じた正常範囲内に収まっているか否かを判定する。通信機診断部F6は、診断対象機に係る全ての組み合わせにおける伝搬時間が正常範囲外の値となっている場合、当該診断対象機には不具合が生じていると判定する。一方、診断対象機に係る全ての組み合わせのうちの少なくとも1つにおいて観測された伝搬時間が正常範囲内である場合には当該診断対象機は不具合は生じていないと判定する。【選択図】図7
