To provide a communication apparatus for a vehicle capable of continuing inter-vehicle communication even in a lane change, a left or right turn at an intersection or the like, and curving, etc. in a moving path.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus disposed in a first vehicle movable in a moving path in order to perform inter-vehicle communication with another second vehicle in the moving path performs wireless communication with the second vehicle by forming a directional beam toward the second vehicle by a directional antenna. When communication disconnection caused by the second vehicle going out of the range of the directional beam is predicted, the communication apparatus controls to start tracking of the directional beam toward the second vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】移動経路での車線変更、交差点などでの右折・左折、カーブ走行などにおいても移動体間通信を継続することができる移動体の通信装置を提供する。【解決手段】移動経路を移動可能な第1移動体に設けられ移動経路において他の第2移動体との間で移動体間通信を行う通信装置は、指向性アンテナにより第2移動体に向かう指向性ビームを形成し第2移動体と無線通信を行う。前記通信装置は、第2移動体が指向性ビームの範囲から外れて通信切断が予測されるときに第2移動体に対する指向性ビームの追尾を開始するように制御する。【選択図】図6
