To provide a footstep monitoring device of a passenger conveyor capable of detecting a failure by monitoring a footstep failure without requiring a large-scale updating of a control system of the passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: A footstep monitoring device of a passenger conveyor includes a movable part, a switching part, and a rotary member. The movable part is moved by a pressing force due to driving of a footstep. The switching part is connected to a safety circuit to control a power supply and a power shutdown for driving the footstep, short-circuits the safety circuit when the movable part is in a predetermined position, opens the safety circuit when the movable part is not in the predetermined position, and switches to stop the power supply for the passenger conveyor. The rotary member rotates based on the pressing force of the footstep in the vicinity of a boarding plate. The rotary member transmits power to the movable part when receiving the pressing force due to the footstep surface of the footstep, rotates when the pressing force due to the footstep surface disappears, and releases the power transmitted to the movable part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】乗客コンベアの制御システムに大規模な更新を要せずに、踏段の欠損を監視して欠損を検知する、乗客コンベアの踏段監視装置を提供する。【解決手段】乗客コンベアの踏段監視装置は、踏段の駆動による押圧を受けて可動する可動部と、前記踏段を駆動するための電源の供給および遮断を制御する安全回路に接続され、前記可動部が所定の位置にいる場合は前記安全回路を短絡し、前記可動部が所定の位置以外にいる場合は前記安全回路を開放して乗客コンベアの電源供給を停止する切り替えを行うスイッチ部と、前記乗客コンベアの踏段監視装置は、乗降板近傍に前記踏段の押圧に基づいて回転する回転部材と、を有し、前記回転部材は前記踏段の踏段面による押圧を受けると前記可動部に力を伝達し、前記踏段面による押圧が無くなると回転して前記可動部へ伝達される力を開放する。【選択図】図3
