To provide a travel control device of a vehicle that can update vehicle behaviour characteristics representing a relation between control amounts to be inputted to a vehicle actuator for controlling a behaviour of the vehicle and inputted control amounts, while reducing possibilities that passengers in the vehicle including a driver have feelings of strangeness.SOLUTION: When requested for executing automatic travelling control, a travel route for updating, on which a vehicle is allowed to travel while making the vehicle perform turning, acceleration and deceleration which are necessary for updating data on vehicle behaviour characteristics so that the data on vehicle behaviour characteristics match actual vehicle behaviour characteristics, is set as a target travel route. When making the vehicle travel along the travel route for updating set as the target travel route by the automatic travel control, steering characteristics, acceleration characteristics and deceleration characteristics of the vehicle are obtained and then the data on vehicle behaviour characteristics are updated based on the obtained steering characteristics, acceleration characteristics and deceleration characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】車両の挙動を制御するための車両アクチュエータに入力される制御量と入力した制御量との関係を表す車両挙動特性を、運転者を含む車両の乗員に違和感を抱かせる可能性を小さく抑えて更新できる車両の走行制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】自動走行制御の実行が要求されている場合、車両挙動特性データが実際の車両挙動特性と一致するように車両挙動特性データを更新するために必要な車両の旋回、加速及び減速を行わせつつ車両を走行させることができる更新用走行ルートを目標走行ルートとして設定し、自動走行制御により目標走行ルートとして設定した更新用走行ルートに沿って車両を走行させているときに車両の旋回特性、加速特性及び減速特性を取得し、取得した旋回特性、加速特性及び減速特性に基づいて車両挙動特性データを更新する。【選択図】図5
