To provide a train data recording device for recording travel patterns achieving energy conservation for each coupling state by estimating a coupling state of a train from GNSS data without using a dedicated device, where the travel patterns are different according to change of the coupling state such as a single formation of a basic formation which is a minimum operation unit of the train or a coupling of a plurality of basic formations.SOLUTION: A train data recording device 401 includes: a coupling state estimation unit 402 for estimating a coupling state indicating the number of coupled basic formations which are minimum operation units of a train; and a recording unit 403 for recording GNSS data of the train by adding the coupling sate to the GNSS data. The coupling state estimation unit estimates a coupling state on the basis of train mass and tensile force due to an electric motor mounted on the train.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
