To provide a technique for reducing the possibility that the visibility of information displayed in a balloon indicating a route is deteriorated.SOLUTION: A route display system includes: a route display unit for displaying a route on a screen; a center-of-gravity position acquisition unit that acquires a position of a center of gravity of a plurality of shape points indicating a shape of the route when the route is displayed on the screen; and a balloon display unit that displays a balloon including a main body that displays information indicating characteristics of the route and a pin that extends from the main body and that points to a set point on the route. When the set point set based on the position of the center of gravity is in an end region in the screen, the balloon is displayed so that the pin points to the set point from the opposite side of the edge of the screen based on the set point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
