To provide a manufacturing method of a ball screw mechanism which can be simplified in a structure, and the ball screw mechanism.SOLUTION: A female screw part 78 is formed at one end side in an axial direction rather than a nut-side raceway groove 77 at an internal periphery of a ball screw nut 61, and an internal peripheral tapered part 80 is formed at one end side in the axial direction rather than the female screw part 78. A male screw part 113 is formed at the other end side of an insertion part 112 of a jig 111 in the axial direction, and an external peripheral tapered part 115 which can face-contact with the internal peripheral tapered part 80 of the ball screw nut 61 is formed at one end side of the male screw part 113 in the axial direction. When assembling a retainer 64, by screwing the male screw part 113 to the female screw part 78, and making the external peripheral tapered part 115 face-contact with the internal peripheral tapered part 80, the retainer 64 is pressure-inserted into an external periphery of the ball screw nut 61 in a state that the ball screw nut 61 is held by the jig 111, and after that, one end side portion 64a of the retainer 64 in the axial direction is caulked toward the inside in a radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】構造の簡素化を図ることのできるボール螺子機構の製造方法及びボール螺子機構を提供する。【解決手段】ボール螺子ナット61の内周におけるナット側軌道溝77よりも軸方向一端側には雌ネジ部78が形成され、雌ネジ部78よりも軸方向一端側には内周テーパ部80が形成される。治具111の挿入部112の軸方向他端側には雄ネジ部113が形成され、雄ネジ部113の軸方向一端側にはボール螺子ナット61の内周テーパ部80と面接触可能な外周テーパ部115が形成される。リテーナ64を組み付ける際には、雄ネジ部113を雌ネジ部78に螺着するとともに外周テーパ部115を内周テーパ部80に面接触させることにより、治具111がボール螺子ナット61を支持した状態で、リテーナ64をボール螺子ナット61の外周に圧入した後、リテーナ64の軸方向一端側部分64aを径方向内側に向けてかしめる。【選択図】図3
