To obtain a vehicular brake having an improved new configuration in which, for example, a piston easily follows a return of a linear motion member.SOLUTION: The disclosed vehicular brake includes: a rotation linear motion conversion mechanism having, for example, a normal rotation restriction part provided in a piston to restrict a normal rotation of a linear motion member and a reverse rotation restriction part provided in the piston to restrict a reverse rotation of the linear motion member; and an engagement mechanism including a first engagement part provided in the piston, and a second engagement part provided in the linear motion member to become an engagement state in which the first engagement part and the second engagement part overlap in a first direction while the reverse rotation restriction part restricts a reverse rotation of the linear motion member, and become a non-engagement state in which the overlapping of the first engagement part and the second engagement part in the first direction is released by causing a rotation member to perform a normal rotation from the engagement state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
