To provide a brushless motor capable of appropriately switching a free-less conductive control and a rectangular wave energization, and to provide a control method of the brushless motor.SOLUTION: A brushless motor comprises: a stator having a three-phase wiring; a rotor having a permanent magnet and rotated in a state of being opposite to the stator; an inverter having a plurality of switching elements, and conducting an AC current to the three-phase winding by turning on/off the plurality of switching elements; and a control part that switches a conductive pattern indicating the change of a conductive state of each phase of the three-phase wiring in accordance with the rotation of the rotor to the free-less conducive pattern or the rectangular conducive pattern to control an on/off state of the plurality of switching elements. The control part switches the conductive pattern to the free-less conductive pattern in the case where a loading integrated value determined in accordance with the load of the rotor is less tan a first threshold value, and switches the conductive pattern to the rectangular conductive pattern in the case where the loading integrated value is a prescribed first threshold value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】適切にフリーレス通電制御と矩形波通電制御とを切り替えることができるブラシレスモータおよびブラシレスモータの制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】本実施形態のブラシレスモータは、三相巻線を有するステータと、永久磁石を有し、ステータに対向した状態で回転するロータと、複数のスイッチング素子を有し、複数のスイッチング素子をオンまたはオフすることで三相巻線に交流電流を通電するインバータと、ロータの回転に応じた三相巻線の各相の通電状態の変化を表す通電パターンをフリーレス通電パターンまたは矩形波通電パターンに切り替えて複数のスイッチング素子のオンまたはオフの状態を制御する制御部と、を備え、制御部は、ロータの負荷に応じて決定される負荷積算値が所定の第1の閾値未満の場合に通電パターンをフリーレス通電パターンに切り替え、負荷積算値が所定の第1の閾値以上の場合に通電パターンを矩形波通電パターンに切り替える。【選択図】図1
