To discriminate whether a two-wheeled vehicle is a motorcycle or bicycle although a device is not disposed on each of the sides of the two-wheeled vehicle.SOLUTION: An acquisition unit 111 acquires a group of measured values, which represents an electromagnetic wave, from a measurement unit 16. A formation unit 112 forms an image on the basis of the acquired group of measured values. An extraction unit 113 delineates a wheel of a two-wheeled vehicle in the formed image, extracts the inside of the delineation as an area of the wheel, and produces an image obtained by removing the background of the above image. A synthesis unit 114 produces a synthetic image by masking the image, which is obtained by removing the background, with the extracted area of the wheel. A calculation unit 115 calculates a ratio of an area, where the two-wheeled vehicle exists, to an area, where the two-wheeled vehicle does not exist, within the delineation of the wheel of the two-wheeled vehicle on the basis of the synthetic image. A discrimination unit 116 discriminates based on the calculated ratio whether the two-wheeled vehicle is a motorcycle or bicycle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】二輪車両の両側に装置をそれぞれ配置しなくても、二輪車両が自動二輪車と自転車のいずれであるかを判別可能にする。【解決手段】取得部111は、計測部16から電磁波を示す計測値群を取得する。形成部112は、取得した計測値群から画像を形成する。抽出部113は、形成された画像から二輪車両の車輪の輪郭を特定し、この輪郭の内側を車輪の領域として抽出し、また、上述した画像のうち、背景を除去した画像を生成する。合成部114は、背景が除去された画像を、抽出した車輪の領域によってマスクした画像を合成する。算出部115は、合成された画像に基づいて、二輪車両の車輪の輪郭内で二輪車両の存在する領域と二輪車両の存在しない領域との割合を算出する。判別部116は、算出した割合に基づいて、二輪車両が自動二輪車であるか自転車であるかを判別する。【選択図】図4
