The communication terminal 1 includes an in-vehicle communication unit 32 for performing communication with an in-vehicle ECU through the CAN, an out-of-vehicle communication unit 22 for performing radio communication with the outside of the vehicle, a vehicle stop detection unit 11 for detecting the stopping of the vehicle, a communication state determination unit 12, and an abnormality checking unit 13. The communication state determination unit 12 determines whether or not communication output from the in-vehicle communication unit 32 to the CAN is performed when the stopping of the vehicle is detected by the vehicle stop detection unit 11. The abnormality checking unit 13 checks the presence or absence of an abnormality in the communication terminal 1 when the communication state determination unit 12 determines that the communication output from the in-vehicle communication unit 32 to the CAN is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】通信端末の誤動作により想定外の電力消費が生じている場合であっても、バッテリ上がりを未然に防止する。【解決手段】通信端末1は、車両内の通信ネットワークであるCANと接続される。通信端末1は、CANを介して車両内のECUと通信を行う車内通信部32と、車両の外部と無線通信を行う車外通信部22と、車両が停車したことを検出する停車検出部11と、通信状態判定部12と、異常確認部13とを備える。通信状態判定部12は、停車検出部11により車両が停車したことが検出された場合、車内通信部32からCANへの通信出力が行われているか否かを判定する。異常確認部13は、車内通信部32からCANへの通信出力が行われていると通信状態判定部12が判定した場合、通信端末1における異常の有無を確認する。【選択図】図1
