To provide an eddy current type rail brake device which suppresses adhering of a foreign object and has a short length in the lateral direction.SOLUTION: An eddy current type rail brake device 1 comprises a row of magnets 10, a magnetic support member 3, a case 4, and a lifting device 5. The row of magnets 10 has plural permanent magnets 2 arranged in line in the longitudinal direction of the eddy current type rail brake device 1. The support member 3 supports the row of magnets 10. The case 4 receives the row of magnets 10 and the support member 3 and the lower part 8 of the case facing the plural permanent magnets 2 is non-magnetic. The lifting device 5 can raise or lower the row of magnets 10 and the support member 3, in the case 4, obliquely from the vertical direction in a plane perpendicular to the lateral direction of the eddy current type rail brake device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】異物の付着を抑制し、かつ、左右方向の長さを短くした渦電流式レールブレーキ装置を提供する。【解決手段】渦電流式レールブレーキ装置1は、磁石列10と、磁性を有する支持部材3と、ケース4と、昇降装置5と、を含む。磁石列10は、渦電流式レールブレーキ装置1の前後方向に一列に配置された複数の永久磁石2を含む。支持部材3は、磁石列10を支持する。ケース4は、磁石列10及び支持部材3を収容し、複数の永久磁石2と対向する下部8が非磁性である。昇降装置5は、磁石列10及び支持部材3を、ケース4内部において渦電流式レールブレーキ装置の左右方向に垂直な面内で上下方向に対して斜めに昇降可能である。【選択図】図2
