To provide a detection device that can detect a detection object in a wide range before stress is applied.SOLUTION: A detection device 1 includes a pinch sensor 2 and a detection unit 3. The pinch sensor 2 includes a dielectric layer 4 on which a linear conductor layer 5 is formed, and conductor layers 6 disposed on the front and back surfaces of the dielectric layer 4, and a slit 7 is formed in at least one of the conductor layer disposed on the front surface and the conductor layer disposed on the back surface. The detection unit 1 supplies a high-frequency signal 8 to an input portion of the linear conductor layer 5 to generate an electric field in a slit portion of the conductive layer in which the slit 7 is formed, and a change in the reflection coefficient in the input portion caused by the change in the electric field caused by interference of a detection object 10 is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
