To provide route information including driving assistance aptitude evaluation that corresponds to a self-driving level.SOLUTION: A route information assistance device of an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an acquisition unit for connecting to a prescribed server that manages driving assistance aptitude information corresponding to an evaluation item affecting vehicle control that corresponds to the self-driving level of a vehicle equipped with a vehicle control system corresponding to a self-driving level and associated with a road position, and acquiring driving assistance aptitude information; a route candidate generation unit for performing a route search process on the basis of the current location of the vehicle and destination information, and generating a plurality of route candidates; a driving assistance aptitude calculation unit for calculating a driving assistance aptitude value for each route candidate using driving assistance aptitude related information that corresponds to the road positions of the generated route candidates; and an output unit for outputting each route candidate including driving assistance aptitude evaluation information based on the driving assistance aptitude value to an onboard display device or a prescribed device that exercises display control of the onboard display device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
