To prevent or suppress generation of wrinkles at a fitting plane part for fitting other constituent members during press molding even in the case where a vehicular reinforcement member is press-molded using a material with high strength.SOLUTION: A long hinge reinforcement (a vehicular reinforcement member) formed into a U-shape in cross section by press molding is disposed inside a center pillar (a vehicular constituent member). A second vertical wall part 20Bf in a U-shape in cross section is formed with a striker fitting plane part 32 in a plane shape for fitting a striker (other constituent members). The striker fitting plane part 32 is structured so that an end part edge shape 32A in the press molding direction when press-molding the second vertical wall part 20Bf formed with the striker fitting plane part 32 is formed into a protrusion shape curved in the molding direction. Therefore, a die face shape formed by press-molding the striker fitting plane part 32 is formed into a protrusion shape as well.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】車両用補強部材を、高強度の材料を用いてプレス成形する場合であっても、プレス成形中に他の構成部材を取付けるための取付平面部にシワが発生するのを防止ないし抑制する。【解決手段】プレス成形により断面コの字状に形成される長尺状のヒンジリンフォースメント(車両用補強部材)は、センタピラー(車両用構造部材)の内側に配置される。断面コの字状の第2縦壁部20Bfにはストライカ(他の構成部材)を取付けるための平面形状のストライカ取付平面部32が形成されており、ストライカ取付平面部32は当該ストライカ取付平面部32が形成される第2縦壁部20Bfをプレス成形する際のプレス成形方向の端部縁形状32Aが、当該成形方向に曲線形状の凸形状とされている。そのためストライカ取付平面部32をプレス成形するダイフェース形状も凸形状とされている。【選択図】図5
