To provide a rudder for a vessel and a vessel capable of having rudder force relatively great when a rudder angle is taken by moving the rudder, with small resistance in direct advancing of the vessel, and obtaining saving of energy by obtaining propulsion force by recovering rotational flow of the propeller.SOLUTION: A bottom end eddy current control plate 21 is provided on an under rudder end surface Sd of a rudder plate 11. A range from 5% to 15% of bottom end rudder length Ld behind a front end 11df of the under rudder end surface Sd is a bottom end first region Rd1, and a range from 5% to 50% of the bottom end rudder length Ld in front of a last end 11da of the under rudder end surface Sd is a bottom end second region Rd2. A front end 21f and a rear end 21a of the bottom end eddy current control plate 21 are respectively arranged to be inside the bottom end first region Rd1 and the bottom end second region Rd2, and the bottom end eddy current control plate 21 is formed by having width Bdb(x) of the bottom end eddy current control plate 21 be from 5% to 30% of rudder width Bd (x) in at least 80% of the longitudinal direction X of the bottom end eddy current control plate 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】舵を切って舵角を取ったときの舵力を比較的大きくできると共に、船舶の直進時における抵抗が小さく、プロペラの回転流を回収して推進力を得て、省エネルギーを図ることができる船舶用舵及び船舶を提供する。【解決手段】舵板11の舵下端面Sdに下端渦流制御板21を設け、舵下端面Sdの前端11dfの後方の下端舵長さLdの5%〜15%の範囲を下端第1領域Rd1とし、舵下端面Sdの最後端11daの前方の前記下端舵長さLdの5%〜50%の範囲を下端第2領域Rd2として、下端渦流制御板21の前端21fと後端21aをそれぞれ下端第1領域Rd1内と下端第2領域Rd2内に配置し、かつ、下端渦流制御板21の長手方向Xの少なくとも80%以上において、下端渦流制御板21の幅Bdb(x)を、舵幅Bd(x)の5%〜30%にして、下端渦流制御板21を形成する。【選択図】図1
