To appropriately determine a driving load of a driver during traveling.SOLUTION: The total driving load is determined in consideration of a driving load based on an internal environment condition (presence/absence of use of a Radar Cruise Control (RCC)) inside a vehicle in addition to a driving load based on an external environment condition outside the vehicle such as a travel distance and a sudden braking operation. A driving load in a normal driving in which RCC is not operated is determined from the external environment condition such as a travel distance, a sudden braking and a sudden braking operation, and a driving load when RCC is operated is determined by a calculation formula different from that of the driving load in the normal driving. Since it is determined that the load of the driver is increased when RCC is turned off by operation of a driver, but is forcibly turned off by a system, the driving load due to the forced OFF is added. That is, a driving load calculation device 1 calculates a driving load for every state by changing the calculation formula of the driving load depending on an operation situation of RCC, and further calculates a cumulative driving load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】運転者の走行中における運転負荷をより適確に求める。【解決手段】走行距離や急制動操作といった車両外部の外部環境条件に基づく運転負荷に加え、車両内部の内部環境条件(前方車追従装置(RCC)の使用の有無)に基づく運転負荷を考慮して総運転負荷を求める。RCCが動作していない通常運転の運転負荷を、走行距離や急制動や急制動操作といった外部環境条件から求め、動作している場合の運転負荷は通常運転の運転負荷と異なる算出式により求める。また、RCCが運転者の操作によるOFFではなく、システムにより強制OFFされた場合には運転者の負荷が増加すると判断されるため強制OFFによる運転負荷を加算する。すなわち、本実施形態の運転負荷算出装置1では、RCCの動作状況により、運転負荷の算出式を変えることで、状態毎の運転負荷を算出し、その上で累計の運転負荷を算出する。【選択図】図3
