To provide an internal combustion engine for a hybrid vehicle which is excellent in fuel consumption performance.SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine is for use in a hybrid vehicle having a pair of slide members having opposing slide faces which can relatively move, and a lubricant interposed between the opposing slide faces. At least either of the slide faces is formed of a coating face which is coated with a chrome carbon film (Cr-C film) in which chromium carbide particles (CrC particles) are dispersed in a carbon matrix. The lubricant contains an oil soluble molybdenum compound composed of at least either of molybdenum dithiocarbamate (MoDTC) or molybdenum dithiophosphate (MoDTP). The CR-C film contains Cr: 2 to 39 atom% with the whole film as 100 atom%. By this invention, the low friction and the high abrasion resistance of a slide part of the internal combustion engine for the hybrid vehicle which is driven in a low-oil temperature area can be promoted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
【課題】省燃費性能に優れたハイブリッド車用の内燃機関を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、相対移動し得る対向した摺動面を有する一対の摺動部材と、対向する摺動面間に介在する潤滑油とを備えたハイブリッド車に用いられる内燃機関である。摺動面の少なくとも一方は、炭素マトリックス中に炭化クロム粒子(CrC粒子)が分散したクロム炭素膜(Cr−C膜)で被覆された被覆面からなる。潤滑油は、モリブデンジチオカーバメイト(MoDTC)またはモリブデンジチオフォスフェート(MoDTP)の少なくとも一方からなる油溶性モリブデン化合物を含む。Cr−C膜は、膜全体を100原子%としてCr:2〜39原子%を含む。本発明によれば、低油温域で運転されるハイブリッド車用内燃機関の摺動部の低摩擦化や高耐摩耗化を図ることができる。【選択図】図2A
