To provide a rail breakage detection device capable of detecting a breakage of a rail with a simple device configuration before a train comes, and also partitioning the detection section smaller as necessary.SOLUTION: In order to detect a breakage of a rail, a plurality of bonds that connect right and left rails are prepared, the currents are fed to the right and left rails via a central power transmission bond, the currents fed to the right and left rails are merged at a terminal power reception bond, and then is returned to a power supply using a return current line. A breakage diagnosis box is mounted to the power reception bond to always diagnose whether or not the currents flowing in from the right and left rails are balanced. If it can be confirmed that the currents are balanced, it is determined that there is no breakage of the rail, and if the currents are not balanced, it is determined that there is a breakage of the rail. Furthermore, in order to increase the diagnostic resolution of rail breakage, a breakage of the rail adjacent to the diagnostic bond is detected by connecting the diagnostic bond to the rail at any location between the power transmission bond and the power reception bond, and measuring the presence or absence of current flowing through the diagnostic bond.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】簡単な装置構成で、列車が走行してくる前にレールの破断を検知できるほか、検知区間も必要に応じて細かくできるレール破断検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】レール破断を検知するために、左右のレールをつなぐ複数のボンドを用意し、中央の送電用ボンドを介して、左右のレールに電流を流し端末の受電用ボンドで左右のレールに流れた電流を合流させ、リターン電流線を用いて電源に戻す。受電用ボンドには破断診断ボックスを装着し、左右のレールから流入する電流量が等しいことを常時診断して、電流量が平衡していると確認できれば破断なしと判断し、一方、電流量が平衡していないときにはレール破断ありと判断する。また、レール破断の診断分解能を上げるために送電用ボンドと受電用ボンドの間の任意の箇所のレールに、診断用ボンドを接続し、診断用ボンドに流れる電流の有無を計測することで、診断用ボンドに隣接したレールの破断を検知する。【選択図】図2
