To provide an occupant protection device which copes with a variety of collision forms, and can enhance a protection function of an occupant.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device 101 comprises an inflator 111 and an airbag 121, and the airbag 121 has an airbag main body part 121a and an airbag hook part 121b. The airbag main body part 121a has a dimension extending up to a lower side of a lower part of a seat part 10a when fixed to a ceiling part 5 of a vehicle 1 at its upper part, deployed and expanded. The airbag hook part 121b communicates with the airbag main body part 121a via a communication path at its inside, and protrudes to an internal peripheral direction from a lower part of the airbag main body part 121a. By this constitution, since the airbag hook part 121b is expanded later than the airbag main body part 121a, and abuts on the lower part of the seat part 10a, the airbag 121 is supported, and a protection function of an occupant can be enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
