To generate area specification information for identifying a specified object area by a novel method on the basis of position information of a plurality of sampling points around the specified object area.SOLUTION: An area specification information generation device includes: a distance calculation unit 31 for calculating a distance from a reference point inside a specified object area to each of sampling points; a peak detection unit 32 for detecting a plurality of peaks of data representing the distance from the reference point for a plurality of sampling points arranged in one direction around the specified object area; and an information generation unit 33 for generating area specification information on the basis of position information corresponding to the plurality of peaks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
