To prevent inhibition of depressing operation of a user even if a foreign object is caught between a rear surface of an accelerator pedal and an upper surface of a pedal body in an accelerator pedal mechanism.SOLUTION: An accelerator pedal mechanism 10 includes: a pedal body 20 provided at a floor part 12 of a vehicle; an accelerator pedal 30 which has a rectangle planar shape, is supported in a manner that one longitudinal end of the planar shape is connected to an upper surface 22 of the pedal body 20 and the other end can be depressed to the pedal body 20, and has a rear surface 38 facing the upper surface 22 of the pedal body 20; and a fragile part 40 which is provided in at least one of the upper surface 22 of the pedal body 20 and the rear surface 38 of the accelerator pedal 30 and is deformed by predetermined or larger load power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
