To provide a location determination device that can highly accurately determine whether a mobile terminal exists in a vehicle interior.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle system comprises a plurality of vehicle interior communication instruments that are dispersedly arranged so that an entire region in a vehicle interior becomes an intense electric field area, and a vehicle exterior communication instrument is arranged in an external surface part so as to cover a leakage region of the vehicle interior communication instrument by the intense electric field area. In such an arrangement way of the communication instrument, an authentication ECU as a location determination unit is configured to: calculate an outdoor unit intense representative value serving a representative value of reception intensity in the vehicle exterior communication instrument within a most recent prescribed time, and an indoor unit intensity representative value serving a representative value of reception intensity of the vehicle interior communication instrument, respectively; and, when the indoor unit intensity representative value is more than an indoor equivalent value, depending upon whether the outdoor unit intensity representative value is more than an outdoor equivalent value, divide a location determination into a case where a mobile terminal exists in the leakage region, and a case where the mobile terminal truly exists in the vehicle interior.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    【課題】携帯端末が車室内に存在するのか否かをより精度良く判定可能な位置判定システムを提供する。【解決手段】車載システムは、車室内の全域が強電界エリアとなるように分散配置された複数の車室内通信機を備えるとともに、車室外通信機は、車室内通信機の漏れ領域を強電界エリアでカバーするように車両の外面部に配置されている。このような通信機の配置態様において、位置判定部としての認証ECUは、直近所定時間以内における車室外通信機での受信強度の代表値である室外機強度代表値と、車室内通信機での受信強度の代表値である室内機強度代表値とを夫々算出する。そして、室内機強度代表値が所定の室内相当値以上である場合には、室外機強度代表値が室外相当値以上であるか否かによって、携帯端末が漏れ領域に存在する場合と、携帯端末が真に車室内に存在する場合とを切り分ける。【選択図】図9
