To provide a human powered vehicle component which can be charged at a high speed.SOLUTION: A human powered vehicle component comprises a port which is so configured as to be capable of receiving electric current of 1.5A or more, and a power storage part which is so configured as to be charged by electric power from an external device which is received via the port. The port has a symmetrical shape in a cross section perpendicular to insertion/withdrawal direction of a plug, or the port has a line symmetrical shape with respect to a longitudinal direction center line in the cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
