To provide a drive motor which enables calibration of a rotational speed sensor (a rotation number sensor) disposed in the drive motor to be easily performed and achieves a reduction of time of finished product inspection process and a reduction of work hours, and to provide a finished product inspection method.SOLUTION: In a drive motor 100, a torque sensor 50 is disposed at an outer periphery of a shaft. The drive motor 100 includes: a rotor 300; a rotor shaft 310 disposed in the rotor 300; and an output shaft 312 which is coupled to the rotor shaft 310 by a joint having a backlash element and transmits rotational force of the rotor shaft 310 to an output side. The torque sensor 50 is disposed at an upstream side of the joint in a range where the torque sensor 50 does not overlap with the joint.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
