To obtain a vehicle pillar structure, in which a member can be easily superposed on a surface facing the side of a transparent panel in a pillar skeleton part while suppressing the width of a pillar skeleton part and the welding accuracy of a butted part at a corner side in the transparent panel side of the pillar skeleton part can be improved, and a method of manufacturing a vehicle pillar.SOLUTION: A flange part 22E of an outer panel 22 and a flange part 24B of an inner panel 24 are welded by the spot welding. A tip surface 24X of a front side end part 24T of the inner panel 24 is butted to an inner surface end part 22M of the outer panel 22 to be welded by the laser welding such that weld beads 28B are serially formed with a predetermined interval 28L by the welding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ピラー骨格部の幅を抑えつつピラー骨格部において透明パネル側を向く面に容易に部材を重ねて配置することができると共にピラー骨格部において透明パネル側のコーナ側の突き合わせ部分の溶接精度を高めることができる車両用ピラー構造及び車両用ピラーの製造方法を得る。【解決手段】アウタパネル22のフランジ部22Eとインナパネル24のフランジ部24Bとをスポット溶接によって溶接する。また、アウタパネル22の内面端部22Mに対してインナパネル24の前側端部24Tの先端面24Xを突き合わせてレーザ溶接によって溶接し、その溶接によって溶接ビード28Bを所定の間隔28Lを空けて直列的に形成する。【選択図】図3
