To provide a pin for an endless track belt having a hardened layer of 5 mm or more in thickness and having a compressive residual stress of 550 MPa or more, for example.SOLUTION: The pin for an endless track belt of the present invention has a hardened layer thickness of 5 mm or more, and has an area having an inclination value (m) of a hardness distribution of 7.5 or more. The pin for an endless track belt is preferably subjected to a heat treatment comprising a heating process and a subsequent forced cooling process after being left without heating or forced cooling for a duration of (T2-T1/δt) where δt is a heat transfer rate in a boundary region between the hardened layer and an unhardened layer, T1 is a temperature immediately after the heating process at the boundary between the hardened layer and the unhardened layer, and T2 is a temperature immediately before the forced cooling process and equal to or greater than the Ac3 transformation point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】5mm以上の硬化層厚さを有し、且つ、例えば550MPa以上の圧縮残留応力を有する無限軌道帯用ピンを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の無限軌道帯用ピンは、硬化層厚さが5mm以上であり、硬さ分布の傾斜値(m)が7.5以上の領域を有する。そして、本発明の無限軌道帯用ピンにおいて、硬化層と非硬化層の境界領域の伝熱速度を(δt)、硬化層と非硬化層の境界における加熱直後の温度を(T1)、冷却直前の温度であってAc3変態点以上の温度を(T2)として、加熱後、熱伝導時間「(T2−T1)/δt」だけ加熱も強制冷却もせず、当該熱伝導時間を経過してから強制冷却することにより熱処理されるのが好ましい。【選択図】図2
