To provide a water current power generator and a floating method of a float for the water current power generator capable of surely floating the float on the surface of water even when a power supply to the water current power generator is cut off.SOLUTION: A water current power generator provides that a power generation pod 21 is moored by a mooring rope 3 attached to the power generation pod 21 capable of floating in water, and that a turbine 20 provided on the power generation pod 21 is rotated by water current, and generates electric power by rotations of a turbine 20. The water current power generator comprises a posture adjustment part 27 to adjust the posture of the power generation pod 21 to become an upward posture where the front part of the power generation pod 21 is located above its rear part when the power supply is cut off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】水流発電装置における電源供給が絶たれた場合であっても、浮体を水面に確実に浮上させる水流発電装置及びその水流発電装置の浮体の浮上方法を提供する。【解決手段】水中で浮遊可能な発電用ポッド21に係留ロープ3を取り付けて発電用ポッド21を係留し、発電用ポッド21に設けられたタービン20を水流によって回転させ、タービン20の回転によって発電を行う水流発電装置であって、電源供給が絶たれた場合に、発電用ポッド21の前部がその後部より上方へ位置する上向き姿勢となるように発電用ポッド21の姿勢の調整を行う姿勢調整部27を備えて構成されている。【選択図】図2
