To provide a power line communication device that is low in loss and capable of reducing component costs.SOLUTION: A power line communication device includes: a direct current power supply device 1; a power line 10; and a master station 2 that modulates supply voltage VBUS supplied to the power line 10 according to transmission data to be transmitted. The master station 2 includes: a modulation capacitor 8 charged by modulation amplitude voltage in advance; a polarization switching unit 7 that determines the polarity of the modulation capacitor 8 connected to the power line 10 according to the transmission data; and an inductor 9 connected between the direct current power supply device 1 and the power line 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
