To readily detect presence or absence of disconnection over wiring, over which plural lighting fixtures are driven, even when the lighting fixtures are used to illuminate an area ahead of a vehicle in an area-sharing manner.SOLUTION: There are included a lighting fixture array having plural lighting fixtures connected in series with one another, and switching elements that control the respective lighting fixtures so as to determine whether the lighting fixtures should be lit. A voltage value to be applied is controlled so that a current value flowing to the lighting fixture array becomes a target current value. It is determined whether the number of switching elements controlled to light the lighting fixtures is consistent with the applied voltage value. If the number of switching elements is inconsistent with the applied voltage value, it is determined that disconnection has occurred. Thus, presence or absence of disconnection can be determined by determining whether the number of lighting fixtures to be lit is consistent with the applied voltage value. Therefore, presence or absence of disconnection over the wiring over which the lighting fixtures are driven can be readily detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
【課題】複数の照明器を用いて車両の前方の領域を分担して照明する場合でも、照明器を駆動するための配線での断線有無を容易に検出する。【解決手段】複数の照明器が直列に接続された照明器アレイと、各々の照明器を点灯させるか否かを照明器毎に制御するスイッチ素子とを備えており、照明器アレイに流れる電流値が目標電流値となるように、印加する電圧値を制御する。そして、照明器が点灯するように制御したスイッチ素子の数と、印加した電圧値とが整合するか否かを判断して、整合していない場合は、断線が発生したものと判断する。こうすれば、点灯させようとする照明器の数と、印加した電圧値とが整合するか否かによって、断線の有無を判断することができるので、照明器を駆動する配線での断線有無を容易に検出することができる。【選択図】図9
