To provide a cooling structure for a railway vehicle capable of further uniformly improving cooling performance of a heat radiation part of an electric power conversion device equipped underfloor, while attaining compactification of a travel wind taking-in port formed in an underframe lower part cover body of the railway vehicle.SOLUTION: A cooling structure 10 for a railway vehicle has an electric power conversion device 3 under the floor of the railway vehicle 2 having an underframe lower part cover body 1, and cools by travel wind introduced via an inclined wind guide 6 of inclining a heat radiation part 4 of the electric power conversion device projected toward the underfloor side, backward-inward to the vehicle advance direction from a travel wind taking-in port 5 formed in the underframe lower part cover body. The travel wind taking-in port is formed in a substantially trapezoidal shape in a side view having an upper bottom part 51 proximal in substantially parallel to a floor surface 211 of an underframe member 21 and a lower bottom part 52 proximal in substantially parallel to a road surface 7, and the length up to a rear end part from a front end part of the upper bottom part is longer than the length up to a rear end part from a front end part of the lower bottom part, and the front end part of the upper bottom part is formed so as to be positioned in front in the vehicle advance direction from the front end part of the lower bottom part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】鉄道車両の台枠下部オオイ体に形成する走行風取り込み口のコンパクト化を図りつつ、床下に備えた電力変換装置の放熱部の冷却性能をより均一に向上できる鉄道車両用冷却構造を提供する。【解決手段】台枠下部オオイ体1を有する鉄道車両2の床下に電力変換装置3を備え、床下側方へ向けて突設された電力変換装置の放熱部4を台枠下部オオイ体に形成した走行風取り込み口5から車両進行方向に対して後内方へ傾斜させた傾斜導風ガイド6を介して導入した走行風によって冷却する鉄道車両用冷却構造10である。走行風取り込み口は、台枠部材21の床面211に略平行に近接する上底部51と路面7に略平行に近接する下底部52とを有する側面視で略台形状に形成され、上底部の前端部から後端部までの長さが下底部の前端部から後端部までの長さより長く、上底部の前端部が下底部の前端部より車両進行方向の前方に位置するように形成されている。【選択図】 図1
