To provide a method for manufacturing a radio wave transmission cover excellent in metal glossiness and radio wave transmission.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a radio wave transmission cover 10 that has a transparent resin material 12 used for an exposed part, a decorative body 14 arranged inside of the transparent resin material 12, a resin base material 16 used for an attachment part, and a metal radio transmission layer 18 arranged between the transparent resin material 12 and the resin base material 16, and has a radio radar device arranged on the back surface side includes: a step of manufacturing a laminate 28 having a metal layer 18' having a thickness of 60 nm or more and crack induction layers 20a, 20b and 22 which induces cracks on the metal layer 18'; and a step of integrally molding the transparent resin material 12, the resin base material 16 and the laminate 28, where a radio transmission layer 18 is formed by generation cracks of the metal layer 18' with a temperature and a pressure during integral molding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】金属光沢性と電波透過性に優れる電波透過カバーの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】表出部となる透明樹脂材12、透明樹脂材12の内側に配置される加飾体14、取付部となる樹脂基材16、および透明樹脂材12と樹脂基材16との間に配置される金属製の電波透過層18を備え、背面側に電波レーダー装置が配置される電波透過カバー10の製造方法であって、厚さ60nm以上の金属層18’と、金属層18’に亀裂を誘発する亀裂誘発層20a、20b、22とを有する積層体28を作製する工程と、透明樹脂材12、樹脂基材16及び積層体28の一体成形を行う工程とを有し、一体成形時の温度および圧力で金属層18’に亀裂を発生させることによって電波透過層18を形成することを特徴とする電波透過カバー10の製造方法。【選択図】図2
