To provide a technique for enhancing a possibility that an information amount can be reduced without lowering the accuracy of a slope.SOLUTION: A road information acquisition system includes: a current position acquisition part for acquiring the current position of a vehicle; a slope acquisition part for acquiring a slope of a slope acquisition section set on a road ahead of the current position; and a road information acquisition part for acquiring road information showing of the slope about each of the start position and the end position of the slope acquisition section, a positive/negative position at which the positive/negative of the slope is converted, and a setting position at which a change in the slope is set more closely than in a section where the change of the slope is gentle in a section where the change of the slope is rapid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
