To provide a front collision detection device that achieves a cost reduction by determining a collision form of a front collision by means of side acceleration sensors.SOLUTION: Side acceleration sensors 7, 8 are provided behind the front end of a vehicle cabin and near both ends, in a vehicle width direction, a vehicle body. A main acceleration sensor 6 is disposed between them. From a difference between acceleration signals detected by respective acceleration sensors 6, 7, 8, a front collision form of the vehicle, for example, full lap collision, offset collision, or center collision is determined. According to the front collision form, an actuation condition for an occupant restraint device 14 is altered.
