To provide a reach type forklift that inhibits vibrations of a machine base at the time of acceleration or deceleration and thereby can reduce operations by an operator.SOLUTION: A reach type forklift comprises a machine base, a pair of right and left front wheels provided on the front side of the machine base, and rear wheels provided on the back side of the machine base to be dislocated from each other in a right to left direction with respect to a linear line passing the center of gravity of the machine base in a travelling direction, and configured to be driven by a driving motor 41. The forklift includes a controller 54 configured to correct the left front wheel to a steering angle based on the acceleration speed or the deceleration speed such that moment applied based on acceleration information or deceleration information of the machine base to the center of gravity of the machine base during the acceleration or the deceleration is cancelled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
