To cause a vehicle body composing member to efficiently disperse impact load in order to hinder deformation of a vehicle body front part due to impact load from a front side of an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle body structure for an electric vehicle comprises: a front suspension frame 21 joined to a pair of side members 17 and extending in a vehicle width direction; and a battery case 30 disposed behind the front suspension frame 21 and accommodating a battery unit 31 therein. The vehicle body structure comprises a battery suspension cross member 25 disposed in the vehicle rear of the front suspension frame 21. The battery suspension cross member 25 suspends a front part of the battery case 30, is disposed between the pair of side members 17, and is joined to the side members.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
