To provide a railroad crossing warning sign which can be easily visually recognized even at night.SOLUTION: A railroad crossing warning sign comprises a warning sign plate 110 and a light emission unit 120. The light emission unit 120 includes an LED substrate 121 and a light guide unit 122. The light guide unit 122 is for waveguiding light generated by LED implemented on the LED substrate 121 from a back side to a front side of the warning sign plate 110 and is composed of transparent material (for example, acrylic resin which is colorless and transparent), and a light emission surface (outgoing radiation surface) of the light guide unit 122 and is arranged to extend along an outline of the warning sign plate 110. Light emitted by the LED is made incident on the light guide unit 122 from one end unit 1221 of the light guide unit 122, the light made incident in the light guide unit 122 proceeds inside the light guide unit 122 while being appropriately totally reflected by a boundary surface with outside air and is emitted from other end parts 1222 and 1223 of the light guide unit 122.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】夜間においても視認が容易な踏切警標を提供する。【解決手段】踏切警標は、警標板110と、発光ユニット120とを備える。発光ユニット120は、LED基板121と、導光部122とを備える。導光部122は、LED基板121に実装されたLEDが発生した光を、警標板110の背面側から正面側に導波するためのものであって、透明の材料(例えば、無色透明のアクリル樹脂)で構成されており、導光部122の発光面(出射面)は、警標板110の輪郭に沿って延びるように配置されている。LEDによって発生された光は、導光部122の一方の端部1221から導光部122内に入射され、導光部122内に入射された光は、外部の空気との界面で適宜全反射されながら、導光部122内を進み、導光部122の他方の端部1222,1223から出射される。【選択図】図6
