To address a problem of an existing under-module mounting apparatus that since a vehicle body is tentatively halted when an under module is incorporated into the vehicle body, controlling a transportation speed of an entire assembly line becomes complex.SOLUTION: A tracking type automatic positioning mounting apparatus 10 of the present invention includes a self-propelling workpiece transportation mechanism 11 and a light-emitting mechanism 12 that leads the self-propelling workpiece transportation mechanism. The light-emitting mechanism 12 is attached to an object to be carried automatically over a transportation rail 15, for example, a vehicle body 13. The self-propelling workpiece transportation mechanism 11 uses a light receiving unit 24 to receive light emitted from the light-emitting mechanism 12, travels through automatic control while being positioned, and thus incorporates a workpiece into the vehicle body 13 being moved.     【課題】従来のアンダーモジュール搭載装置では、アンダーモジュールを車体に組み付ける際に、車体は一時的に停止されるため、組み立てライン全体での搬送速度のコントロールが煩雑化する問題があった。【解決手段】本発明の追従型自動位置出し搭載装置10は、主に、自走式ワーク搬送機構11と、自走式ワーク搬送機構を誘導する発光機構12と、を備え、発光機構12は、搬送レール15にて自動搬送される搬送物、例えば、車両ボディ13に取付けられる。自走式ワーク搬送機構11は、発光機構12から発光される光を受光部24にて受光し、位置合わせを行いがら自動操縦にて走行することで、移動中の車両ボディ13に対してワークを組み付けることができ、組み立てラインを停止することが防止される。【選択図】図1
