To provide a motor for an electric parking brake capable of achieving suitable heat protection for a detection sensor.SOLUTION: In a motor 21 used as a driving source of an electric parking brake device 10, a detection sensor 31 is incorporated in a brush holder 28 consisting of a resin member in a constituting member of the motor 21. The brush holder 28 functions as heat insulation material to achieve protection of the detection sensor 31 from heat or the like generated in the brake mechanism 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
