To provide a manufacturing method for a vehicular interior material excellent in ability to be fitted to another component and to provide a vehicular interior material.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a vehicular interior material 10 comprising a base material 31 having a mounting hole 32 for mounting another component 12 and a skin material 35 having a communication hole 36 communicating with the mounting hole 32, comprises a boring step in which the communication hole 36 is formed by a composite tool 40 having a columnar part 43 insertable in the mounting hole 32 and a radial blade 41 radially formed from the axis of the columnar part 43. The boring step includes: a skin material cutting step in which the skin material 35 is radially cut by pressing, from the inside of a vehicle chamber, the radial blade 41 against an area covering the mounting hole 32 of the skin material 35 disposed on a face 31A, on the inside of vehicle chamber, of the base material 31; and a skin material folding step in which by inserting the columnar part 43 into the mounting hole 32 from the inside of the vehicle chamber, a plurality of strip parts 35A of the radially cut skin material 35 are folded so as to extend upward toward the outside of the vehicle chamber along an internal circumferential surface 33A of the mounting hole 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
